Private Sector Advisory

Update on 2019 National Preparedness Month
Thank you to all of you who communicate preparedness messages in September and throughout the rest of the year through seasonal messaging campaigns. With National Preparedness Month just three weeks away, we wanted to give you a quick update on what we are preparing for the campaign this year. The 2019 theme is Prepared, Not Scared. Be Ready for Disasters. The campaign will feature PSAs and multimedia products around four weekly themes:
• Week 1: Sept 1-7 Save Early for Disaster Costs
• Week 2: Sept 8-14 Make a Plan to Prepare for Disasters
• Week 3: Sept 15-21 Teach Youth to Prepare for Disasters
• Week 4: Sept 22-30 Get Involved in Your Community’s Preparedness
Content has been loaded on the Ready.gov National Preparedness Month Toolkit webpage at http://www.Ready.gov/September. This is a soft launch, we are still uploading content. However, we want to advance some themes and materials to facilitate collaboration.
This year we would like you to share your activities and success stories hoping to amplify on Ready.gov and/or our social media channels. As such, we invite you to share with us a brief description of what you are planning for National Preparedness Month. Please drop us a note at FEMA-IGA.gov with the word NPM in the subject line.
