Since we opened in 1989 we’ve seen the lives changed of over 1000 students.

Our course offerings have evolved over there years to fulfill the needs of our profession.

PWA Staff has made presentations assisting other jurisdictions in developing their academies.

The Public Works Academy was founded in 1989 as a non-for-profit educational organization

The Public Works Academy is led by a Board of Trustees numbering 17 local public works and local government professionals.

Scholarships were given out to aspiring public works students. These students are entering the academic areas of engineering, public administration, operations and management.

We are a donating partner of the Pinellas Education Foundation.
